The Rainbow Tour 2000:

Here are some stories from fans who attended the Rainbow tour 2000.

Stephanie / willennium@pandora.be / Antwerp, Belgium
I went to her FIRST concert of her RAINBOW World Tour! Here in Antwerp, Belgium! IT WAS TOO AMAZING!!!!!  We had to wait long but it was worth it! She was a little bit nervous but it was over soon. She asked two people on stage a boy and a girl and they had to help her with drinking some beer and eating some Belgium Chocolate and she gave a piece left over from her chocolate to a VERY big fan!And that same fan had to go on stage little bit later. HE was a VERY lucky fan because Mariah kissed him and hugged him and stuff. And then she sang Petals and she cried! And she told us 'I'm sorry I always get sentimental with this song'. Then she asked us "this'Okay" be honest with me is my hair messed up ??' We all said no but it was a little bit wild... And then the break dancers came on stage!! That was FANTASTIC!!! They were SO great! And then all of a sudden Mariah came through the audience all from the back! We all were looking for her and then I looked next to me and she was STANDING next to me I touched her arm and she looked to me !!!!!!! And then a couple of rappers came on stage and started to rap 'GUESS WHO'S BACK....'And then the box match and it was so fast I could hardly see Mariah knocking' Bianca down.and then she did the remix of Heartbreaker and the original. I really want to see her again! I hope she's coming again!!!

I was one of the luckiest people in the world at the Toronto concert. I was one of the lucky 12 people who got to go up on stage with Mariah!! She was even more beautiful and friendly in person. I'll never forget that experience...she made my life!!!!
Janice / janmarie16@yahoo.com   / Atlanta, USA
Hey! I went to the Atlanta concert on my spring break and it was the best ever! It took forever for her to come out (she was sick), but when she did I was in tears. I been a huge fan since her butterfly album, b/c I didn't really know her because I was like 10 years old. She was so loyal to us to come out because she was awfully sick, I was so scared for her. But she had such an amazing performance that I didn't even notice! I have so much respect for her and I'm glad I found someone who feels the same!
Lindsey / SpazAttack15@aol.com / Boston, USA
Hey! First I'd like to say Mariah Carey is my idol! She's an awesome song writer, producer, singer, actress, and not to mention DIVA! I recently went to her concert in Boston, MA! You know the one that was postponed due to those terrible RAW OYSTERS! Well it was well worth the wait! She couldn't have look anymore beautiful and sang any better. It was totally breath taking, and I was sad to see it come to an end. We made a huge sign that said MARIAH WE <3 (love) YOU! However there was no place to hang it up. Anyway, Mariahs concert was the greatest time of my life neither I nor my friend will ever ever forget Mariah!
Anouchka / Buffster@yucom.be / Antwerp, Belgium
Hi, my name is Anouchka and I come from Belgium. First I would like to say your site is great, it has very beautiful pictures and everything. Then, I read you went to see the Mariah concert, well me too has seen it (but then here in Antwerp). And I must agree with you. She is indeed great. When I was at her concert I was like WOW, I'm actually seeing MC singing LIVE. It was the greatest concert I have ever seen! She was in top condition and she was so nice! She really communicated with us, the fans, like we were her best friends and everything. It was...well I don't really have words to explain how it was, except that it was magical!!! And all I can say is : "Mariah 4-ever"!!!
Alan / alan@soapdish.co.uk / London, England
I saw Mariah in London. Missed the Daydream tour in 1995 because she sold out so quickly, well worth the wait. The crowd went wild from beginning to end, everyone was on the edge of their seats because she was so amazing live, seen many artists in concert Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton and Celine Dion, and I'm not just saying this, Mariah Kicked A**!
Suzy / mc_crybaby00@hotmail.com / San Jose, USA
Hi! My name is Suzy and I saw Mariah Carey in concert in San Jose,CA. She was AMAZING!!!! It was my first concert and every time I would see concerts on TV I wondered why the people were crying. Well on March 21, 2000 I found out why they were crying. When I saw her rise from the stage, I got so emotional, I was there in the same room as my idol, Mariah Carey! People don't understand why I like her, they say she' a slut and that she's not good. But the way she dresses has nothing to do with her talent! I became a fan when I was 10 years old, I'm 17 now. I went out and bought Music Box! Mariah has a way to touch people's hearts - her voice and her lyrics. I really admire her for her strength as a woman. I want to be like her in that sense. She had the strength to free herself and become a butterfly. We all have a butterfly inside of us, waiting to come out and fly as high as we can! I'm so glad that I went to that concert, it was the best day of my life! I wish I had pictures. so if u know anyone with pictures from the San Jose concert please e-mail me so I can print them out. But anyway, I will never forget every detail. My favorite was when she performed Crybaby and Close My Eyes, cause those are 2 of my favorite songs. My other all time favorite songs are The Roof, Mariah's theme, and Butterfly. Those songs mean a lot to me. Well anyway, I just thought I would share what that experience was like for me. Now there is no other concert that I want to see, (unless its another Mariah concert) cause I know it just wont live up to it. I have seen the best!!!

I just came back from the concert and all I have to say is WOW! It exceeded all of my hopes of what it should have been. Although, I do have one tiny little problem that I should get off my chest. What is with people standing up as soon as she comes on stage? I was sitting in 24th row, center floor, and I could not see very much. I think that it is absolutely rude to stand at a concert and block other people's vision. I would never do that, which means that I wouldn't want it done to me. There is a time to stand - when everyone else is standing! Now that I have taken care of that, I have to talk about how great the concert was. It was amazing. From the moment she stepped on stage, I knew that the audience was in for something special. She talked about the whole oyster ordeal, made a couple jokes, and basically entertained the crowd of about 15,000 for a good two hours. I anticipated going up on stage, but that did not happen. I then realized that I was fortunate enough to be STANDING there and be apart of something that so many fans have dreamed of for so many years. Even though I didn't have the greatest view, I still managed a couple of good pictures - that's what you get when you befriend security! Mariah made us laugh, and even made us cry. It was an experience that I will never forget for as long as I live, and I know that I was truly blessed to be apart of Mariah's Rainbow Tour.

I saw Mariah Carey in Toronto for her re-scheduled date and WOW, it was worth the wait!   It was breathtaking.  My friend and I made a poster saying Mariah Forever with a BIG rainbow!  I really hope she saw it!  We took a Limousine to the concert and that was a lot of fun but nothing compared to her voice, beauty, dancing and music.   I have seen many singers but Mariah's Rainbow tour was TRULY the best.  I didn't really care for Da Brat at the beginning but I made it through and when Mariah entered the stage everyone cheered and stood up, I was soooooooooooo happy.  I would love to see her in concert again and would pay a lot of money for it because I know she puts everything into her work and you can sure see that when she performs in concert!
